Episode 4: Happy Birthday!

WaaH!!! Damn tired this past few days.... Big event being held at the Expo right now. Hospitality fair or something like that.... Lots of people from different countries attending the show. The store is a complete mess! Help!!! Its not as bad as the Pc show from before but it is still overwhelming.... Must drink red bull to keep going!

Recently, the actions of a certain staff has been bugging me. She is quite capable but I find that she is messing things up. My manager is starting to take notice along with the rest of the guys. It dosen't look that good for her...

Dianah was acting more "manja" than usual yesterday... I was wonderin whats up with her... Only later that I find out that it was her birthday! No wonder lah.... She turns 19 but she considers that "old". Funny girl... Hmmm.... wonder if I should get her a gift?

Episode 3: Scandals, Revelations & Discoveries!

At last I finally managed to update this after so long! Very busy with work and after just too tired to turn on the PC... Very interesting week as usual and a very tiring one also... People around me acting strangely, not like their normal selves. Others in the meantime are starting to show their ugly sides of their character. Guess I have to be careful with what I say and do next week.... Lets get started shall we...

Scandals
I hate to talk bad about other people. Seriously! Not my thing. Especially, if its someone I know. In this case its Dianah. She a nice girl & I consider her like a little sister to me. More often than not, she's been seeing the mrt dude during work. As far as I know, she has a boyfriend already so why is she seeing the mrt dude? I did a little research on him and found out that he's 30+, married & has 3 kids already! Ewwww! I don't believe in this "just friends" crap... I hope she dosen't get burned.

Revelations
This week my "bradah" Faris told me that Maya told his girlfriend about the good treatment he gets from my manager. Now he's like "Why did she tell her that? What did she mean by that?" He is now a confused boy. I feel sorry for him because its not his fault. Elsewhere, members of my manager's family & extended family are getting sick. I feel bad for her as a person because I heard it coud be very serious. God has a way of punishing people who whave been very bad to others.

Discoveries

Chocolates have been missing recently and I just found out that it was the

work of rats! I didn't believe it at first but when I got this photo I was shocked... This rat probelm has gotten serious.

OK... staff of the week award goes to Faris! Despite going through a difficult week, he is still going on strong! Hang in there buddy! Congratulations!

Episode 2: The staff meeting!

Yup, today we had a staff meeting. Haven't been in one for as long I can remember so it was refreshing for me. Things have been pretty dull of late. As always, I went prepared for anything; good and bad. The meeting was attended by 3 people only, myself, Zaki & Dianah. The rest were unavailable. Sad right... Anyway, some of the topics covered in the meeting were: taking initiative; blah....blah... blah.... teamwork; yada.... yada.... yada.... customer service; blah... blah.... blah.... You know what I mean! I've heard it all before so I just stood there and nodded in agreement when I needed to. Something that stood out for me was when she said of a possible pay rise. Its about time! Another thing she said was she could be going on medical leave. I got nothing to say about that. Oh and one more thing, apparently Faizul went to apply for a job at my manager's old workplace. The manager there asked my boss for her opinion of him and she said not to approve his application! Tough luck for Faizul... Overall, the boss made her point loud and clear to everyone, but in a place full of part timers, what she said won't mean a damn thing!

P.s.- I can't stand the sound of Dianah's laughter. I didn't notice it at first, but now I find it quite irritating actually... Must close ears!

Episode 1: I smell a rat!

Please take note, I hate rats! Any type, big or small, living or dead. I find them absolutely disgusting! And it sucks that my store has a whole family of them running around all over the place. Recently Zaki found another one inside the store. Luckily for me it was already dead cause I had to pick it up and threw it away! So GROSS! But before that, I just had to take some pictures... Not for the weak of heart!

Incident of the week

The weekend is just around the corner and this week has already been an eventful one already for me. The one incident that sticks out for me was my argument with my manager. It had to happen sooner or later and I'm glad that it did. Now I understand how Janna & Waheedah felt. Very frustrating.... ArrgH!!!

The story goes like this, I came to work early to help out in the store but I got called to the "office" instead. Once inside she got all into my face, shooting off questions left & right! She accused me of not doing work when I was working with Dianah on Wednesday night. What the @#$% ?! She told me she watched the cctv and saw only Dianah doing work. Bullshit! I tried to explain to her nicely but she kept cutting me off. All this happened in front of the customers and Faris who was working at the counter! She brought me around the store pointing out things I should have done. After humiliating me like that, she told me to work at the other store alone. Gee... thanks alot! Oh, did I mention that I holding a pair of sharp scissors the whole time... (Evil Intentions!)

Honestly, yes there were some things that I did not do that night but to say that I did not do anything at all is absolutely ridiculous! God only knows what really happened that night and what she saw on the cctv wasn't the whole story. You know what? DAMN HER & DAMN WHAT SHE THINKS!!!

Random Thoughts

Yes I'm back again... Its been awhile since my last post. Talking about that, did anybody read it? Please leave a comment, anything so that I know that people are reading it. Anyways, it been really hard to come up with something good to write about and todays no different. So here are some random thoughts from the top of my head:

• Chinese New Year was abit subdued this year. I wonder why?
• My manager is still ignoring me after all this time. I'm still curious how long this will carry on. But that hasn't stop her from making my life a living hell...
• Why is everybody at my workplace asking me whether I'm okay or not or whether I'm angry with them? Does my behaviour make them feel guilty?
• Believe it or not, I've been working for over a year. Yes its been that long! Even I sometimes find it hard to believe.
• Even if I don't say it much, I'm really starting to miss Naomi already... Such a nice girl too! I wish her all the best.
• How can anybody stand working all by themselves? I know I can't take it. So Mrs Manager, go get some new staff already!
• Did you celebrate Valentines Day? I didn't. And if you are a Muslim, WHY ARE YOU CELEBRATING IT ?!
• A Formula One race in Singapore... Are you for real ?!
• Women are abit complicated for me to understand. And I still believe that BUT I still love them anyways... :)
• I'm getting a little concerned with certain Singapore Expo staff chatting with our female staff. Sure,it looks innocent enough but what are their true intentions is what I want to know...

An Open Letter To The Haters

Dear So & so,
I'll get straight to the point. I'm gonna write this down for you instead of me telling you straight up to your face. No, I'm not doing this because I'm afraid of you or because I'm a shy person. Its not like that, REALLY! The real reason is that I see you as a person who cannot handle criticism really well. You won't admit that its true, but its OK. So by doing this, I think you won't over-react like you usually do but you'll think more rationally. So far you've been having your way recently, pushing people around like you're the boss of the place. Personally, I don't like it but being the nice person that I am, I've let it slide. But not anymore! I'm not gonna lay down and take anymore of this crap. But don't worry, I won't make a scene or anything, at least not yet anyway. So until that time comes, I'll continue to do my own thing stay out of each others way.

January 23rd: It didn't turn out as I had expected, BUT I did find out a few things. Things you may or may not want to know...

Man oh man! Just what is wrong with this place? Everyday is a different story... Today was no different. Today, the D.M.(District Manager) no showed much to the disappointment of Kak Su. She really wanted to meet him and tell him of her predicament. I really pity her! I, on the other hand am relieved he didn't come because I really can't stand people like him. Don't ask me why! Maybe I have a thing against people with authority I guess... Anyways, Reduan dropped by the store today. It was nice to see him again, we chatted for a while and he seemed really happy. He wished everyone well before he left for home.

Later in the day me and Kak Su had a conversation during one of our rare breaks from work. We talked about a lot of things, including what she was planning to do about her current dilemma. She told me she had a plan and told me not to worry about it. Fair enough... I asked her why Reduan left considering that he was one of the managers' favourites. Kak Su told me that she told Reduan what the manager thought of him and apparently what was said sealed his fate. Must be something very personal I guess... Thats not all, cause the manager has plenty of bad things to say about her staff!

3 of them actually, Faizul, Dianah and yours truly of course! What? No Faris you say... Lets not go there, sensative issue there you know? Lets start with Faizul; manager thinks he's too loud and dosen't do any work. Dianah? She thinks that Dianah is lazy and likes to stay at the counter often. What about me you ask? The manager thinks I'm slow, untidy and a whole lot of other stuff that I won't even mention! Kak Su says that we 3 are the most likely to be "released" as soon as she gets the staff that she wants.

You know what? I was kinda disappointed when I heard that but on the other hand I was expecting it. Its kinda sad when your own manager thinks of you this way. Screw this! Who cares what she thinks!

Would you anything in the past if you could ?

Ok right, here's the thing ... Me & my partner were working together and she brought this question up. Quite interesting you see ... She obviously has her own opinion about it and if she could, she would go back and change certain things in her past. Ok, fair enough... What about me? I have my own take regarding this... Firstly, why? Why would I want to do that? Sure there were some events in the past that may have an impact in my life but I still came out of it allright. This experiences helps build character if you know what I mean. Makes you a better person; if not, a much wiser person. Why do we want to dwell in the past? Whats done is done, so I think we must learn to let go of the past. Think of the present, think of right now and think of tomorrow. Forget about your missed opportunities and bad choices. Its all about what you have now and how you plan to use it!

Work or Quit?

Work, work and more work. Thats all what I've been doing the past couple of weeks. Not that I'm complaining or anything, but recently working isn't as fun as it once was. I feel that my workload is currently too much for me to handle. Go here, do that, sign this, carry that and the list goes on and on... An old friend dropped by today and asked me when I was resigning from this job. I told him that I'll quit soon but not now. Why do I still want to work here? I don't know... Currently, it dosen't look that good. The number of staff working keeps decreasing and my work schedule is planned poorly. What else could go wrong?!

Well, sort of... So many things has happened since my last post. I'm talking like I could write a book about all these crazy incidents going on in my life. Greetings from your resident average guy. Joe is back again and he has a lot of things on his mind so lets get the ball rolling shall we....
Its my birthday! Well, it was actually, 2 days ago. Funny thing is, I totally forgot about it... Maybe it was because I was too occupied with work that it totally slipped my mind. I'm 25 this year.... whoa, i'm getting old...
Talking about work, I'm really considering quitting my current job. I'm very unhappy with how the place is being run. At first, it was all fun and games but now its getting hugely frustrating for me. I don't mind working alone but now I have to every frickin' day?! Come on, seriously, how long am I going to put up with this? Currently, I don't have any other job offers, so it looks like I have to endure this for now. Better start practicing my "Yes sir!" and fake smile now...
Finally, I missed out on my graduation ceremony... I'm very, very disappointed about that. I went through alot in the 2 years at ITE and only those very close to me will know how much this meant to me. I really wanted to see the people whom I've been around the last 2 years one more time. They have made me better than when I first joined and I wanted to thank each of them personally. Dammit! Why do things like this happen to me?!
On a lighter note, Liverpool fc meets AC Milan in the finals of the champions league. This is going to be a mouth watering encounter and my fingers are crossed that liverpool are going to win. Come on you Reds!

The update

Hey its been awhile... hows everybody? Its been quite long since I did this. Been very busy with work. Allright, let's get down to business. Recently, I just got myself a job to keep myself busy and more importantly to pay the bills. The job itself isn't that difficult but needs getting used to. Pay-wise well with my experience, i'm lucky to even to have this job. Oh well, I just hope for the best may be I'll get to work there longer.
This shoutout goes out to my friends currently pursuing their studies in their various polytechnics. Everyone do your best in whatever you're doing. Never ever second guess yourself. You are there cause you're good so never think otherwise. All the best guys, you know who you are!
I wonder who's going to the graduation ceremony this month? I hope to attend but I've never been a tie wearing type person...

What do i do next?

Like i said previously, my exams are over and its time again to think of things i could do . I was thinking of doing part time work but i'm not sure who should i work for. I tend to be abit picky about work so in the end i end up being jobless... So anybody got any ideas? Next up, when i graduate( i hope so! ), i'm thinking furthering my studies and going to poly. I'm interested in taking up multimedia courses. But should i go apply for the poly thats nearest to my house or the poly with the bigger reputation?
I'm open to suggestions...

Exams done & dusted

Finally, I got some free time! Like the exams are over safe to say, i'm relieved about that. Weeks of revision leading up to the exams have been very BRUTAL!! Comin to school, doing the same questions over & over again; i was like AHHHH!!!! But, the good thing is, it meant that i was going to be prepared foer the exams. Fast forward to exam day and i came extremely late for my paper! Bummer man! I got my teacher calling me on my handphone asking me where the hell i am ( i sit right up in the front by the way). My exam started around 730 and i was still downstairs and not at the exam hall... Luckily the first paper was easy and i finished it quite fast. But the same cannot be said with my next paper... Damn, it was hard! I have never been a numbers guy so you can imagine the outcome of my Engineering Maths exam... But whats done is done, so now i'll just wait for the results.

I don't know if you know this, but there are games on the net on rape! Quite shocking news to me. Rape is a serious matter and having games on it is being insensitive to real life rape victims around the world.I mean what kind of human being would play such games... If you know anybody who does, please tell them to get a life, NOW!

Have you ever....?

Allright, just hear me out. Have you ever been in a situation like this: Imagine this scenario; you see this person and the person notices you but completely ignores you. You might say that its normal but what if it happens again and again? Dosen't it bother you? It sure does bother me.... Maybe its just me but I just don't understand it. Why do people act a certain way when they meet someone they don"t know or when someone smiles at them. Is it human nature to do so? Just something to think about...
